From a simple idea to a complete platform

Salons across India run on WhatsApp, paper diaries, and missed calls. Customers struggle to find trusted salons and confirm appointments. We believed there had to be a better way — one that was premium, trustworthy, and built for how India actually works.

SEVWAS was created to be that way. The name comes from सेवा — the Sanskrit/Hindi word for selfless service — because great service is at the heart of every salon. We've wrapped that ethos in modern technology: a beautiful customer app, a powerful CRM for salon owners, and a super-admin layer that keeps the whole marketplace trustworthy.

Built by Salon Services Private Limited, headquartered in Kanpur, we're starting with our home city and designing for nationwide scale.

2026 — Foundation

The idea & identity

Salon Services Private Limited is incorporated. The SEVWAS brand is born — name, gold-and-black identity, and the vision of a three-surface salon platform take shape.

Phase 1 — Core

Customer App & CRM foundations

Salon discovery, booking inquiry flow, customer OTP login, and salon profile/service management all come online. Session namespaces keep customers, salons, and admins isolated.

Phase 2 — Bookings & WhatsApp

The notification engine

Appointment status management, calendar, and asynchronous WhatsApp automation via Gupshup & Bull queues. Every booking triggers instant confirmations and reminders.

Phase 3 — Payments

Razorpay subscriptions

Recurring billing, signed webhook verification, auto-generated GST invoices, and a 3-day grace period on failed payments before any deactivation.

Phase 4 & 5 — Launch

Super Admin & go-live

KYC review, revenue analytics, QR deep-links per salon, PWA polish, and the first 20+ salons seeded across Kanpur. SEVWAS goes live.
